ACTION NEEDED: Commissioner proposes changes to substitute assessments for graduation in order to align state and federal assessment & accountability requirements.
Beginning in the 2020 accountability cycle, substitute assessments will not be included in state or federal accountability calculations.
One of the the proposed amendments would require students to take “an EOC assessment at least once for federal accountability purposes prior to being eligible to use a substitute assessment to meet graduation purposes.”
Please review the Commissioner’s proposed changes and provide your feedback and recommendations to Dee at dcarney@hillcopartners.com by Nov. 6
